In this work, we propose, develop, and test a number of automated tools that detect errors in novice code, and assist novices in correcting them, helping to prevent novices from making the same mistakes in the future. We will present our findings of the system being used in classrooms and hope to demonstrate an improvement in coding proficiency and learner self-efficacy.
